Penny D’Souza – D.O

Dr. Penny D’Souza was raised and completed her medical training in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Statewide Campus System at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan. Dr. D’Souza was appointed Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Chief Cardiology Fellow during her training.

Dr. D’Souza is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. She is specialized in performing diagnostic heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiography and interpretation of non-invasive testing (transthoracic echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, stress echocardiography and nuclear imaging).

Following her postdoctoral training, Dr. D’Souza worked briefly in Texas before relocating to Youngstown, Ohio with her family. For four years she was part of an esteemed team of cardiologists, recognized for exceptional care in Northeast Ohio.

Dr. D’Souza now returns to returns to Northwest Houston, eager to continue her commitment to compassionate patient care and excellence in cardiac management. Dr. D’Souza has particular interests in echocardiography, congestive heart failure and women’s cardiovascular disease. She is also passionate about educating the public on heart health. Dr. D’Souza is available daily for appointments including same day appointments at our office.
