Houston Heart Center (or HCC for short) employs a team of experienced, skilled Houston cardiologists to diagnose and treat conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels. Cardiologists undergo a rigorous period of medical training that includes four years of medical school, three years of training in internal medicine, and a minimum of three years as a cardiology specialist. In addition, they must pass an exam by the American Board of Internal Medicine that will enable them to become a certified cardiologist. Along with their high degree of training, they are supported by a Houston cardiology department that is among the area’s most advanced with respect to medical technologies and techniques.
When is it a good time to visit a Houston cardiologist? We recommend doing so immediately if one or more of the following symptoms present themselves: chest pains or discomfort, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, dizziness, sweating and nausea. Depending on their duration and severity, these could be possible signs of a heart condition that should be referred to our Houston cardiology department. It’s also worth mentioning that some heart problems don’t exhibit clear symptoms, which is why other health risk factors, such as age, weight and family history, should also be considered. In short, don’t take a risk—if you’re in doubt, get it checked out!
